Intergration Lead (Finance)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Integrations Lead (Finance) is responsible for ensuring the successful financial integration of newly acquired businesses, new business units, and internal system/process changes within Axians UK. The role provides end to end oversight of financial onboarding, systems alignment, controls implementation, and readiness for group reporting.
The postholder acts as the central coordination point between Finance, IT, Legal, HR, Procurement, Operations, the Business Unit GMs, and the VINCI Energies UK & ROI Pole to ensure integrations are delivered smoothly, accurately, and in line with Axians’ values: Trust, Solidarity, Entrepreneurial Mindset, Autonomy, Responsibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Integration Program Leadership
• Lead all finance related workstreams for acquisitions, carve outs, restructures, and new entity onboarding.
• Develop detailed integration plans covering systems, processes, controls, reporting, people, timelines, and risks.
• Act as the primary finance liaison with the VINCI Energies UK & ROI Pole regarding reporting requirements, deadlines, and transitional arrangements.
• Coordinate Day 1 readiness, ensuring financial infrastructure (banking, coding structure, reporting templates, payroll interfaces, etc.) is fully established.
Systems & Process Alignment
• Lead alignment of acquired entities onto Axians’ financial systems (Codex/SAP/other tools).
• Map and standardise chart of accounts, cost centres, project structures, and reporting hierarchies.
• Drive automation and integration between operational systems and finance tools (e.g., PSA, CRM, project controls).
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and VINCI Energies internal control frameworks.
Financial Controls & Risk Management
• Assess existing processes in acquired businesses and identify gaps in controls, reporting discipline, reconciliation standards, and governance.
• Implement Axians’ control environment, including balance sheet integrity, provisioning methodology, revenue recognition processes, and CAPEX/OPEX distinction.
• Establish cash forecasting, debtor tracking, and overhead control frameworks from day one.
• Build risk logs and escalate integration related issues early.
Reporting & Performance Management
• Ensure accurate first month close for any new entity or integrated business area.
• Align financial and operational KPIs to Axians standards.
• Provide clear reporting packs to the Finance Director, BU GMs, and VINCI Energies.
• Track synergies, integration costs, and post acquisition performance metrics.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Work closely with the Finance Director, HRBP, IT, Legal, Procurement, Operations, and project teams.
• Communicate integration progress and risks to stakeholders with clarity and transparency.
• Provide training and onboarding to new finance staff or acquired teams.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify long term process improvements and technology enhancements emerging from integrations.
• Standardise best practice for future acquisitions.
• Support the Finance Director in strategy development around Axians UK’s acquisition roadmap.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Skills:
• Exceptional project management and organisational discipline.
• Strong financial systems knowledge (SAP, Codex, PSA/CRM tools).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret financial data quickly and identify risk areas.
• Strong problem solving mindset with a hands on approach.
• Comfortable operating autonomously and making sound decisions.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of systems integrations, project accounting, and financial controls.
· Experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff.
· Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards is desirable.
Experience
• Proven experience in finance integrations, M&A onboarding, system migrations, or large scale process harmonisation.
• Experience in a multi entity/group environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of project based businesses, managed services, and technology/ICT sectors.
• Experience leading cross functional workstreams with senior stakeholders.
